If you would like to become a member please speak to the Pastor. In case of illness, the Pastor should be informed. He will always be glad to speak with those who are confronted with problems of a spiritual nature. The time before worship is a quiet time for prayer and meditation to prepare for worship. Jesus Christ Is Our Champion Against the Devil

 

Jesus Christ, our champion against the devil, endures and overcomes “every temptation” (Luke 4:13) on our behalf. He worships the Lord, His God, and serves Him only by trusting the Word of His Father: “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased” (Luke 3:22). Jesus’ victory is now ours through His gracious Word, which is not far away but near us — in our mouth and in our heart, in the proclamation of repentance and faith. For “with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved” (Rom. 10:10). Our confession of Christ includes the prayer of faith, which is not disappointed, “for ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved’” (Rom. 10:13). The Lord is not oblivious to “our affliction, our toil, and our oppression” (Deut. 26:7), but has mercy upon us. He has brought us out of bondage through the “signs and wonders” of Holy Baptism, “with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm” (Deut. 26:8), and now He leads us by His Spirit even in the wilderness.

SHROVE TUESDAY – We had a nice gathering with members on this special day of fellowship to begin the Lenten Season. Attendance was low, but spirits were high.  And Lots of food.  Thank you all who attended, and all who donated for the meal.

LADIES OF GRACE:  Just a reminder that the renumeration to cover the cost of our delegate to LWMLC convention is now due.  Please give Diana Grant, President, your $5.00 renumeration at your earliest convenience, and she will be forwarding to our Zone Treasurer for our Toronto Zone delegate fund.

Mark your calendars ladies for our Mother, Daughter, Sister Luncheon, on Saturday May 31st, 2025 @ 10 am. Our guest speaker will be speaking on “Witnessing Where Were at!”, April and May monthly meeting will be for planning this event at Grace.  Thank you, blessings.

 

WANTED ITEMS:  MENS CLOTHING: Don't forget the MWM men’s clothing drive. I am collecting men’s clean used and new clothes for the migrant agricultural workers that work in Clarington. Drop them off at church in the box in the Narthex. This is an ongoing mission for Grace.  Thank you, Tracey Ali

FOOD BANK:  Thank you everyone for helping us stock up.  Looks like we are good till the new year. Blessings to you all.  We support our church members, our Seminary students (1/2) and community.  We will be relocating the pantry shortly to the library.

OCCASION CARD STAND:  The stand has been relocated to the library. I finally had a chance to clean up the chaos with cards mixed up. New cards added and more to be added. This is a free will offering and all Funds go to the church.
